Springfield's Contribution Clothing Is Supporting Local Nonprofits

April 22, 2020

Kelly Partridge, Founder of Contribution Clothing, launched the mission driven online boutique, contributionclothing.com June of last year. The boutique, which retails women’s apparel and accessories provides quarterly monetary donations to western Massachusetts based nonprofit organizations that have a vision of empowering women and girls as well as community support.

Contribution Clothing is currently working to gift 15% of their net profits to The Care Center of Holyoke, a nonprofit organization that helps young mothers grasp how powerful they are, gives them tools to learn, and provides them with an exciting and engaging learning environment. The women led business will be reaching their one-year anniversary this upcoming June, and since their website launch, has provided monetary donations to Dress for Success, Empty Arms Bereavement Support, Ovations a Cure for Ovarian Cancer, Shriners, Girls Inc of the Valley, and Safe Passage.

In additional to the boutique’s quarterly contributions, Partridge, a Bay Path alumnus, has worked with the university to create the Contribution Clothing Scholarship Fund. The annual scholarship will be providing a Bay Path University student with $500 towards tuition. The ambitious clothing line hasn’t stopped there, they have also supported community-based events and fundraisers such as the Hot Chocolate Run for Safe Passage, the Women Empowered calendar for Girls Inc., and the Unify Against Bullying Fashion show, where Partridge provided 6 different outfits to help raise awareness against bullying.

Partridge’s goal for her business is to use her story and passion for social justice to make a positive impact within her community. She hopes to use fashion as a way of helping women feel confident and empowered. Partridge states, “I want Contribution Clothing to be more than an online boutique, I want it to become a community of women that support, encourage, and inspire each other to be better versions of themselves. Women can do anything, and every single one of them needs hear that and believe it”.
