1. What is your name? What is the name of your business?
My name is Mychal Connolly. I am the owner of Stand Out Truck®
2. What inspired/encouraged you to start your business?
I’ve been an Entrepreneur since I was 9. I love business. I really love marketing and advertising. So creating a business that helps other Entrepreneurs/Business Owners advertise their business is amazing!
3. What do you love about your work?
What I love about my work is helping business owners get customers. And we also do celebrations so I get a lot of joy from seeing family celebrate together. Their happiness makes me happy.
4. What advice do you have for others wanting to start a business?
For people looking to start a business, like I say in my book Launch and Stand Out, be prepared to deal with the highs and lows. Don’t get too high on the highs, or too low on the lows. Surround yourself with likeminded people. And believe in yourself. You can make it happen! Go for it!
5. What do you do to take care of yourself and how do you make time to do it?
Self care it very important for Entrepreneurs/Business Owners, really everyone. I make time to do things I love. For example, I coach my sons basketball team and we play videos games together, like NBA 2K. I spend time watching silly videos on Tiktok and YouTube. I also get monthly facials over at Beauty Battles Lounge in Chicopee. I typical sleep for the hour. Hahaha. I’ve also recently taken up golf as a hobby. Always find time to do something for yourself.
6. What can we do to support you in the community?
I love when people in the community see my driving in a Stand Out Truck® and blow their horns and wave. Those friendly gestures go along way. 7. Favorite spot to go around town?
Here’s some of my top favorite spots: White Lion Brewery, Cellf Juices and Crave Food Truck Yup, I love food and beer.
