One of my favorite local cafes is Pan'e Dolcetti in Wilbraham. It is a locally owned small business run by Felice Aiello. Anyone who has stopped by the cafe can tell you of the quality of the service, food and drinks. I ordered a cake for my daughter's birthday (with the most delicious Nutella creme filling) and everyone kept asking where I had ordered it from (it was clear that this wasn't homemade!). My Jamaican mother-in-law is a big fan of their cinnamon sugar bomboloni.
If you haven't stopped by yet, check them out! I can't say enough good things about their pastries, baked goods and sandwiches. Whenever I stop by, my sandwich barely makes it out of the parking lot intact - I devour it immediately!
Recently, the Aiello family's world was turned upside down when a large mass was found on Felice’s kidney. In the days that followed, he was admitted to Baystate Medical Center where he had further testing and more lesions were discovered throughout his body.
Felice is a husband to Cara, father to three special children, and the owner and manager of Pan’e Dolcetti. With the cafe being their sole source of income, it will be impossible to operate as normal due to Felice undergoing treatment, surgery, and recovery.
Friends and family have come together to host a fundraising event to celebrate & support the Aiello Family. Iron Duke Brewing in Ludlow will donate a percentage of their food and drink sales.
This is a kid and family friendly event. Boomer from the Thunderbirds will be there. There will also be a face painter and a slime-making activity by Zounique Creations. There will also be chair massages by Excel Therapy & Conditioning.
Raffle items (so far) include items from:
Dr. Glen Brooks & Spa on the Green
If you would like to donate an item or gift certificate to be raffled, contact the event hosts.
Most of all, I encourage you to surround the Aiello family with your prayers, love and support as they navigate this difficult time. They are grateful for everything that has been done for them.
