Rainy days ahead! Here are some fun activities to keep your kids busy until sunny summer days are back.


Monday, June 5th

Summer Kickoff Party - Brightwood Branch Library 10AM


Tuesday, June 6th

Farmer's Market Forest Park - Rain or shine! We love grabbing lunch and some sweet treats at the farmer's market.


Wednesday, June 7th

Mason Square Gross Motor Playgroup - Fun for toddlers and kids up to age 5. 


Thursday, June 8th

Circle Time Fun - 16 Acres Library 10:30AM


Friday, June 9th

Bounce! - Toddler Time 11AM-1PM


Bounce! Western Mass (Springfield) - Daily specials for lots of family fun! Toddler jump area available. 

Interskate 91 South (Wilbraham) - Laser tag, roller skating, playscape & arcade. Plenty of snack and food options available for purchase.

Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame (Springfield) - Learn about the history of basketball and visit the hall of fame.

Springfield libraries (Springfield area) - Each library offers something different for kids from craft kits, story times and on-site play areas. Check out the Macaroni Kid event calendar for weekly events!

Springfield museums (Springfield) - Natural history, art, science and Dr. Seuss. All in one place!


Near to Springfield

Amelia Park Children's Museum (Westfield) - Perfect for toddlers and kids with a variety of interests.

Eric Carle Museum (Amherst) - Story time, art exploration, exhibits on Eric Carle books.

FunHub Action Park (South Hadley) - Go karts, ninja course, playscape for toddlers, plenty of trampolines!

Holyoke Children's Museum (Holyoke) - Loads of fun for toddlers up to tweens! Upstairs area for snacks or food brought from home.

Magic Wings Butterfly Conservatory (Westfield) - Butterfly conservatory, outdoor gardens and food court.


Worcester Area

Discovery Museum (Acton) - Indoor and outdoor exhibits for toddlers, kids and teens of all ages. This is sure to be a blast for the whole family! Lots of STEM activities. Interactive exhibits for younger kids, too.

Ecotarium (Worcester) - A wide variety of exhibits and activities for kids and teens of all ages. Plenty of fun for the whole family.


Hartford & Beyond

Connecticut's Old State House (Hartford) - Historic rooms and exhibits. Learn about the legislative process. 

Connecticut Science Center (Hartford) - Wide variety of exhibits to keep toddlers up to teens entertained and engaged!

Imagine Nation (Bristol) - Intentional facilitator-led experiences. Variety of workshops available. 

Kid City (Middletown) - A children's museum specifically for infants, toddlers and children up to age 7.

Mark Twain Museum & House (Hartford) - Visit the home of the author Mark Twain.

Noah Webster House (West Hartford) - Historical home of a founding father.

New England Air Museum (Windsor Locks) - Aircraft, flight simulators and outdoor displays.

Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art (Hartford) - Variety of artistic exhibits. 


Berkshires & Beyond

MASS MoCa (North Adams) - Contemporary art, concerts, wide range of exhibits.

Norman Rockwell Museum (Stockbridge) - Art, concerts & festivals - check their calendar for fun events for the whole family!

Lyman Allyn Art Museum (New London) - Exhibits with a variety of artistic expressions.

Mystic Aquarium (Mystic) - A wide variety of sea life exhibits. Don't forget to visit the Mystic harbor and downtown areas!

Niantic Children's Museum (Niantic) - Children's museum for toddlers and kids up to age 9.

Stepping Stones Museum (Norwalk) - Variety of interactive STEM exhibits.

Yale Peabody Museum of Natural History (New Haven) - Dinosaurs and minerals.


Boston

Legoland Discovery Center (Boston) - Many interactive exhibits for kids of all ages! 

Boston Children's Museum (Boston) - One of the largest children's museums in the world! Playspaces for kids of different ages, including 0-3 year olds.

Great Wolf Lodge (Fitchburg) - Indoor water park and hotel. Half day passes start at $40.

Water Park New England (Danvers) - Indoor water park and hotel. Day tickets start at $30. 

Museum of Science (Boston) - So many interactive exhibits! Also, dinosaur exhibits and butterfly garden.

New England Aquarium (Boston) - See HUGE sea turtles as well as a wide variety of sea creatures. Cafeteria available.
