Apple picking, pumpkin patches & cider donuts - yum!

Looking for fall fun near Springfield, MA? There are plenty of apple picking, pumpkin patches, and fall festivals to enjoy this season within 20 miles of the city:


1. Park Hill Orchard in Easthampton (82 Park Hill Rd) offers over 40 apple varieties and scenic views. It's also home to an Art in the Orchard walking trail. Open daily, this spot is perfect for a peaceful autumn outing. Operating hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. through October.


2. Fletcher Family Farm in Southampton (22 Gunn Rd) is a family-run farm known for pick-your-own pumpkins, horse-drawn hayrides, and fresh local produce. It's just 17 miles from Springfield and open daily. Check their Facebook page for specific events.


3. Silver Bell Farm in Monson (305 Silver St) is great for families. Along with a pumpkin patch, they offer a kiddie corn maze and tractor-pulled hayrides. Open weekends through October from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., it’s a festive destination for all ages. This is our family favorite! We always enjoy their freshly made cider donuts.


4. Red Fire Farm in Granby (7 Carver St) hosts an annual Fall Festival, featuring a pumpkin patch, popcorn maze, and more. Open daily from September through early November.


Whether you're after a corn maze, fresh apple cider, or the perfect pumpkin, these farms offer a little bit of everything!
